hey gents,

bought myself a new video card , HOORAY for me! it's a BFG GEFORCE 6200 OC 256MB DDR , installed and everything is great , except when I put the cd back in to get the other features off the cd it locks up my system pretty bad to the point it slows my mouse and everything down to where I have to ALT CTRL DELETE and pray that I can get it to quit the program. It shows that I'm trying to close a demo32.exe

what appears on the screen and stays on the screen for awhile at least is a black box with BFG Technologies in the upper left corner and that's it after that , NOTHING! starts. help out a behind the times video card buyer and semi dumb founded fool.

Have you tried downloading the setup file from the NVIDIA web site and try running it locally instead of off the CD? Here is a link to the drivers section: link (http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp). Just select your graphics card and your operating system.

Hey Michael thanks for the reply. If I try and download the files won't I be installing drivers all over again and cause a conflict? I still do not understand why the cd will not run when insterted into the drive , then locks my system up.

well this turned into a nightmare. trying to watch windows media player movie and the computer locks I mean literally to the point where the mouse was stuttering when moving , trying to watch a movie and it says connecting.......
next thing I know the screen starts flickering and going all nuts , start running AVG free edition anti-virus software and it is just crawling through the numbers of files scanned , 1.....................2........................... .3........................4.................5, so I say ah man to you know what with this shut it down and take out the video card and the system runs fine , what the you know what is up with that? the video card is a bfg geforce 6200 oc 256mb pci in a hp a1110n computer with only pci slots so not much of a choice
