TTL? What does this mean? I was using 128, but after using a patch available at tweak3d, I see it's set to 64. Seems like my connection is a little slower opening pages, but still pretty much the same downloading.

Does this make sense? Or am I having flashbacks from all the drugs my friends (fiends?) did in high school?

Thanks

Mike P.

grandslammer,
I believe that's Time To Live hops (not the beer type). From what I can remember of my 56k tweaking days (which I've given up entirely just because all the tweakin' I could muster wouldn't speed up my connection) TTL is generally set at 128 unless your ISP is running with a non standard setup (which could always be the case with an ISP)
I tried more than once to get some information about my ISP's setup and all I could get out of them was that the default Win98 settings are optimum settings (which I always had great doubts about)
Best of luck,

Mike,
Did I ever get around to congratulating you on becoming a Senior member, that's a bit of an accomplisment, as I can testify (still being a regular ol' member).
Anyway, congrats!

Well, it's a real wonder what no-doze and racing gloves can do for your postings, huh?

Thanx, you're a real friend (or is it fiend?)
