My friend is remodeling his computer. He's just formatted his HD, and is going to install Win98, but he has forgotten the DOS Command to have the computer read from the CD drive. Any info as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You have to load the cdrom drivers in autoexec.bat and config.sys files. If he has the floppy disk with drivers that came with his cdrom, he can run the setup program on it in DOS and this will create the files he needs. He can then reboot and have cdrom support. Or, if he has a Windows 98 startup disk from either his machine or another, he can use that to run his cdrom (the startup disk contains drivers for various cdrom's plus autoexec.bat and config.sys files to load them). If using the Win98 startup disk, just select "cdrom support" when the menu comes up during boot.
