This is an easy one...new build from case up, bp6 MB, and I just want to confirm my installation. The HDD is jumpered as Master (only one HDD) and connected to the primary IDE (IDE3,UDMA66) using the "special" cable. The CDROM is ALSO jumpered as Master and connected to the other primary IDE (IDE1, non-UDMA33) connector using a "normal" IDE cable. Is that correct? I ask because the weak instructions that came with the cdrom don't consider the possibility of a MB with 2 primary IDE interfaces.

While I'm at it I might as well ask another http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif The cdrom supports UDMA33, is it correct that no "special" cable is needed for this device?

You seem to have it right. Just make sure your operating system can use UDMA66 http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
