Dynamic drive

I'm dual booting Vista/XP. In the Disk management console in Vista, my SATA drive is shown as a Dynamic disk offline. In XP it shows the 3 NTFS drives that I have on the disk. The disk does not show in my computer on Vista, but does in XP.
Any ideas why I can't see the drives on this disk in Vista?

Anyway, your post is a bit confusing. How many actual physical drives do you have? What type are they and which OS is on which drive?

You can right click on the Drive in Disk Management and bring the Drive online.

Sorry for not being clearer. I have 2 HDD's. XP and Vista are installed on separate partitions on an IDE drive. The other HDD is a SATA drive that is divided into 3 partitions. Win XP sees the 3 partitons on the SATA drive and I can work with them. Vista sees the SATA Drive as a dynamic disk offline. Right clicking on the Drive in Disk Management does not give me the option to bring the drive online. It only gives me the option to convert to basic disk, which will result in losing all data.

Have you tried to Convert the other drive to Dynamic disk yet, or is it still a Basic disk?

No, that is not an option given. I guess I should just back up all the data and change the dynamic disk to basic. I don't really need dynamic anyway. Thanks for the replies by the way.

I backed up all data, converted the SATA drive to a basic disk, and all is fine in Vista now. I'll just write it off as a quirk with Vista that it saw the drive as a Dynamic disk, even though when I partitioned it originally, I did it as a simple disk. :t
