Well, once again the next Tom Clancy release does not support my GFX card, so I'd like to ask, does anyone own this game yet for PC? How is it in comparison to the last letdown, and to the previous "best" RvS? How is modability if there is any? How is the gameplay? Might just buy a new GFX card if it's worth my while. I'd like to play SC Double Agent too. I guess my 5900 just won't suffice anymore with Tom Clancy.

while i don't have the pc version (xbox for me), i have spent numorous hours with this title (as well as every other tom clancy game) and i can tell you that compared to others this one is a sort of "return to form" for the rainbow 6 series.
still gone are the intricate pre-mission planning stages (which honestly i never enjoyed) but this one seems to be far more RS 3 and alot less "lockdown." the cover system is excellent and flexable and i've found the AI for both team mates and enemies to rival any game out.
team controls are simple yet effective and there are actual advantages to going slow, stacking and clearing, and playing it "right" but if you want you can turn the difficulty to low and just go rambo (if you're lame).
the average reviewer score out on either console or PC is 8-9 out of 10. IMHO it's also one of the better multiplayer experiences around currently if you're looking for tactical.
hope that helps, i know i have the wrong version, but they're the same game, just ports. also, fyi: i don't know the current status but there was a poll going around the ubisoft forums to release a patch to negate the need for a PS:3 card to play. you might look into the status of that.

Hm thanks for the info Danish, exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Well I have a PSP so I could get R6 Vegas for that, but PC is really my thing so I might have to upgrade my GFX for this one :D.

Got it and finished it a long time ago, IIRC i wrote a mini-review of it here somewhere - a search should turn it up.
It's Rainbow Six, without much of the Rainbow Six anymore, but its still a decent way to spend a few hours, especially in CO-OP mode.
I wouldnt worry about playing SC: DA much to be honest, mediocre at best overall
As regards Ubisoft releasing a none-SM3.0 update to their titles, not a hope in hell of that happening
