NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900GS graphics card on DELL XPS M1710

just tried setting up laptop for a works presentation which is dvd based,went into nvidia control panel and set up cloning, press play on dvd and dvd plays on projector screen but on laptop only black box i.e no picture. the display is cloned just no picture

any ideas??

looks like a solution, i tried it but the drop down menus were different and no option to enable full video screen

anybody?

it's not your video card - laptop display drives the LCD, projector or both, try:

1. Press <Fn><F8> to switch the video image between the display only, the external device only, or the display and the external device simultaneously.

2. d/l Dell Quickset if not on your laptop, maybe a utility there?

hope this helps - be sure to be patient with the Fn (it's blue letters) - may take a few tries
