built a pc for my mom (alterior motive is to have decent pc to play with when I come home for weekends http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ) anyways I've put win98 and nt4 for on it. For the winter break I brought my pc home and now I was wondering how to transfer my bookmarks to this new PC so it'd be easier to use when I come home on the weekends. also does anyone know how to transfer my real player radio presets without typing all the urls: in.
Hello,
just copy your bookmark from your old PC to the new one. Usualy, bookmarks are stored in
c:\program files\netscape\user\default or under your profile name.
You can import bookmarks or simply overwrite the existing one.
I do not know answer on the second question, probaly there is file in RP directory.
Hope it will help. Good luck!

You might try copying the c:\windows\favorites folder and moving it over and seeing if that works for IE(x)

Make sure that after you copy your bookmarks that you check to see if it is set to read only. Right click on bookmarks and go to properties and make sure the checked boxes at the bottom are set to 'archive' instead of 'read-only'. Otherwise no new additions will be kept after you shut down Netscape.

You might want to consider using an online
bookmark service. Bookmarksplus.com and Coolsync are both good services. You keep your bookmarks on the net and can access them from any computer with any browser. I have used Bookmarksplus for the past year (free) and it works great.

I use Coolsync myself. It works plenty good! You can store ALL your bookmarks and favorites up in cyberspace and not have them on your mom's computer! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
