equipment: Dell C600 notebook: PIII-866/384 mb ram/40 gbhdd/Verizon wireless internet thru PC5740 verizon wireless modem/windows XP sp2..

issue: would there be any method(s) to tweak the modem so as to improve thruput..i remember doing adjustments of maxmtu, and other registry settings (using regedit) with win98SE.

any ideas wld be appreciated.

This is not wifi-but-is full wireless internet access using cellphone network.

Don't count on really impressive gains. There's not much to squeeze out because Windows is optimized for broadband out of the box.

will be experimenting re- setting up wireless link: betwen notebook and desktop computs- to share broadband access

Verizon very unhelpful in giving suggestions for obvious reasons!
