I bought a new K7M with 1 stick of pc100 128mb memory and a new athlon 650. Yeah, anyway the **** thing gives me a two tone alarm and the memory reads as 64 mb. do you guys think it is a bad memory stick. The machine boots up part of the time. Also the case and power supply are brand new and it is a ATX 300watt power supply. Any help would be very appreciated.

There is a point in your BIOS where it asks which OS you have. The choices are OS2 or non OS2. (This is for OS2 Warp I believe.)This determines how the board looks for RAM above 64 megs.

On my board this is in BIOS Features Setup Menu.

That should help!

Memory worked in Other machine. Swapped memory and everything is O.K. Alarm was caused by Hardware monitor for heat and voltage alarms.

Thanks for the help.
