I tried my DVD out for the first time and found that I am getting an invalid page fault error when I try to us the SoftDVD2 Direct Show Software that came with my Diamond V770 TNT2 32MB.
I currently have Nvidia detonator driver 217 installed.
Is the SoftDVD2 software that I have incompatable with the Nvidia driver?
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Any suggestions on how I can get my DVD to work? Another SoftDVD program perhaps?
Thanks for any help,
Chainsaw

Just an update,
I reinstalled the Diamond driver and my DVD works. Too bad really, I definately prefer the Nvidia 2.xx drivers. If anyone knows of a DVD software compatable with Nvidia drivers, please let me know.
Thanks,
Chainsaw

Hey Mntsnow,
Spent last nite doin' the plug 'n pray thing with the new Epson 740, took me three install/uninstalls till I got it right with the USB, but it's workin' fine now.
Hope you and your family had a nice Christmas.

try powerDVD It works with my TNT with detonator drivers.
Not sure what build my drivers are they are one of the first det drivers that came out.
Not @ home right now to check either.
The Ultimate is WinDVD...
I personally recommend it over any other, and I went on a binge trying all I could find to get to that conclusion.
It will work with all AGP video cards...Period! It totally rocks with a P3 and TNT2U with reference drivers...1600x1200 DVD playback as smooth as silk...
It is costly...$50 unless you know a way around that...
and it is the only soft player that will play the MATRIX movie like perfectly.
It will even decode AC3 into 4 speakers discrete downmixing with a SB-Live!

Thanks BC,
I'll give it a try.
Just out of curiousity, what Nvidia drivers are you using?
I've been using the 217 detonator drivers and have no complaints.
Thanks

I'm currently running two DVD Software's (well, only one at a time mind you)
When I downloaded PowerDVD, I tried it then for some unknown reason my SoftDVD2 software started working fine (who knows).
I'll do some searches for WinDVD to see if I can find it for less that the $50, although if it is the only one that will take advantage of the PIII and tnt2 then it may be worth that.
Thanks for the input all,
