download I.E 6

A friend has an oldish system with win 98 se installed. he only uses it for word processing and a few games. His printer has packed in and he bought a new one and tried to install it. setup stops because the system only has I.e 5 and the minimum is I.e 6.
So, can I download i.e 6 from anywhere onto my P.C and install it onto his? He doesnt have internet acess and Microsoft seem only to be offering I.E 7 for download and i think this wont work with Win 98 S anyway.

AFAIK, IE6 is not supported in Win98 - only IE 5.5.

according to the installer, it supports 98 and even NT4.

You can use IEAK 6 to build an installation package. Just be sure to select "Flat installation" and specify the folder you want.
