hi all :t
I have the software( ghost 10), I have the HD with 5 partitions almost full, so, once I clone the 40 SCSI HD to the new SATA 160 HD, will the 5 partitions be of the same size as the original or I will have to arrange them trough a different program?? ( partition magic 8??)
tHAX BEFORE HAND FOR YOUR HELP :D

Why would you have set up 5 seperate partitions on a 40GB drive? That seems excessive. I only ever run 2 or less partitions.
Ghost will give you the option to do a drive to drive copy where each partition on the new drive will increase in the same proportion to the old size (each new partition will be 4 times bigger than the old one) or if you do a partition to drive copy, then you will have the option to resize each partition before making the copy from one drive to the other.
I hope your OS isn't on the SCSI drives? It will open up a whole new can of worms for you. The hard disk drivers will need to be updated before the new drive will be bootable.

:t thnx for your response :)
actually I only have 4 partitions, and the SATA drive has the OS in it, so no problems( I hope  ). With the old defrag programs and win 98 or me , it used to take too long to defrag big partitions, thats why I went to smaller ones, but, now, looks like I will do them larger.
cheers and thx for your help :t

I am confused. If the SATA drive already has the OS installed, then how do you expect to clone the SCSI drive to it? Or did you mean just to copy the files over from the SCSI to the SATA?
