I installed the new client recently (dnetc v2.8004-450-CTR-99122011 for Win32 (Windows 4.0).) and since then I have been getting intermittant BSOD's and "xxxxxx performed illegal operation". As I'm sure most of you know already I have a K6-II 400 running at 550, i kinda figured it must be that but I dropped it back down to 400 and got the exact same problems. The only other programs to crash are Internet Explorer 5 and Cheetachat(a Yahoo chat client). Nothing else has a problem! The machine will sit here and do the CSC keys all day and night, will run Quake III all night, rip mp3's, everything without any problems at all. I seriously dont think its because of the clocking, it is well cooled and cold to the touch since i put a big 8" fan in my case. I have even tried turning this fan off.
Like I say IE5 and cheetachat are the only affected programs, and they only crash when I have the RC5 client running.
Hoping you guys have some ideas or possibly the same kinda fault there(well not hoping for that but you know what I mean!)
