I have an AMD K6-III 450 with a Voodoo3 2000 AGP vid card. I got a Creative PC-DVD Encore 5x for christmas, it came with a decoder card. I installed both and when I went to play a DVD file (.vob) I get only sound and no video. The Creative Player creates a video box but it remains black. Does anyone know what is going on or how to fix it??

Do you have the cables all hooked up correctly? Have you double checked your vid card settings to make sure they are compatable with the DVD software?

Thats where I would start.

It almost sounds like the PassThru cable is not hooked up. The decoder card takes an input from your video card, then your monitor is plugged into the decoder card. (In most cases at least, my older decoder uses the internal VESA feature connector off the video card) Make sure you have those cables plugged in correctly.
