I just cloned an xp install because of a HD switch that needed to be made. Now upon logging in (after pressing ctrl-alt-del) immediatly after applying user settings, the system logs off.
This happens no matter what user is logging in, administrator or otherwise....
Any help in solving this issue with out doing a complete reinstall would be greatful

Thank Midknyte, I will give that a try....
See if you can get into Safe Mode without having the problem.
Reduce the number of programs running in the background and Startup.
START>RUN and type msconfig and go to the Startup tab
Also remove the HDD devices while in Safe Mode and let Windows redetect and install the drivers for them on boot.

G,
Hello there my backup friend.... The first thing I did was try safe mode, and still could not login. So, I guess running the repair install is the next step... I was hoping for an easier fix....

Windows never gives you the possibility of an easy fix, you should know that by know...LOL!
I was answering posts and not really taking in the names.
I will get back to you on the Genie Backup Manager Pro over a domain tomorrow issue.
I will thrash some ideas out with the main Genie Quality Assurance tester and see if we can get email notification sorted. It probably is just an application configuration issue, but as you are experienced in networking and you have tried the obvious it may be an isolated issue with some users of GBM.
Any way, I hope Genie is working ok and I will email you tomorrow ok.
Hmmm…there is always a fix but finding it is the skill. So it boots and then goes bank to the SAS box.
It may be a service that is at fault or a driver that is meant to start when Windows does. But SM is the barebones. Hmmm...
What imaging program and version did you use?
You may need to use the Recovery Consol to disable services and then if you get into normal Windows, there is a clue for you.
