Imperion1 12-30-2006, 10:39 PM Looks like a remake of Redneck Rampage, only with the graphics amped up. :) CrazyCrusher 01-04-2007, 02:59 PM The scenery looks awesome trees etc but to be honest the character’s don’t have that WOW factor, look at the car engine doesn’t it look funny, like there’s no dept to it, or is it just me. Don’t get me wrong it looks stunning without a doubt and boy am I waiting for this game, Bloody sure I am, I just feel the character details might need a little more spit and shine. Of course it’s very very early days yet. Rabbitrunner51 01-17-2007, 10:53 AM Yeah.. it looks real good alright, but why does any of this surprise anybody? Hexk some of the latest games out look almost if not as good as that... I got a couple of my machine that look almost that good. With the latest cards and graphics engines, i guess we should expect such s this. I sure hope so, otherwise all that HW upgrading would go to waste..,don't you think? That is by the way..., just the kind of visuals i look for... ohterwise its wasted motion and time. Since i usually just hit and miss on finding such good screenies or the like, .. its nice that Jak keeps bring us all this good stuff. Sure saves me from having to sift through alll the unlimited stuff out there.. Thks for the link big 'J" Bigjakkstaffa 01-17-2007, 01:28 PM Yeah.. it looks real good alright, but why does any of this surprise anybody? Hexk some of the latest games out look almost if not as good as that... I got a couple of my machine that look almost that good. I'll have to disagree with that, while i agree a lot of the character and bulding graphics are nothing revolutionary, the detail on the foliage and trees alone sets this out from anything out at the moment, even Oblivion complete with texture and mod-packs galore. The density of the foliage along with the detail that has gone into it is far in excess of anything i've seen currently availiable off the shelf. There are no signs of any draw distance limits or other "tricks" as employed by titles such as Oblivion and Far Cry to cut down on the massive hit dense foliage has on performance. Even Far Cry with fully tweaked Geometry Instancing and Vegitation sprites , is nowhere near approaching this level of detail. And thats not to mention the water details - looks almost hand drawn. --Jakk:t Rabbitrunner51 01-17-2007, 11:03 PM Yeah... some real nice artistism there. I think most of us who play games or even gander at any other forms of media, are most happy and impressed at these developments. Games are fun, and while i won't back down as to storyline and all the rest being important on an equal basis, What trully peaks my interest, are visuals/Graphics. Am every so often replaying FarCry again , more to check out my new Video card, and it looks much better ( never thought it could..looked great before ) but just as important for the better FPS, which both are much better. Its still hard to really assess anything from screenie though. How would it all look and feel in gameplay mode?? Thats the real question here. SysOpt.com
