I am having difficulties with a hard drive. It is an old one. a maxtor 71080ap. I beleive that I have all the jumpers set right. The problem I am having is that when I go to boot into windows it takes forever and I gennerally stop it b4 windows ever starts because It is taking so long. Like 10+min. It is the only hard drive in the system It is about 65% filled. A new install. Worked after I installed windows. Has all the files and everything. I am thinking about blowing win off and redoing it. but b4 i do that was wondering if I am missing something. I'm not gettting any errors about the drive.
NE suggestions?

Make sure the specs of the drive are properly defined in CMOS, other than that I don't know what could be causing such a long boot time.

Bios doesn't have a problem seeing this drive. Nor does the handy little utility that maxtor puts out. So I can't figure it out.
