I have just installed win 2000 on an older laptop. After some hiccups here and there, it went in ok and I was able to update to sp4, add a Linksys pc card, etc. Now I cannot add this computer to my home network. The options that would allow me to do so are greyed out. In the network ID pane of the control panel, where it told me to add network components, I did so (with the original CD) as administrator, but still, the options I need are grey and inoperative. Suggestions, please?
