what is with these stupid boxes!!!
my daughter brought her computer home from college with her for the holidays. worked fine when we set it up and plugged it in.
next morning, turn it on and nothing! american megatrend logo and numbers appear but the cursor just sits there blinking. no post, no beeps, no error msgs, nothing.
any help
or should i just pitch it out the second floor window!

every thing seems hooked up correctly and tight!
it appears that it is getting hung up very early in the POST somewhere
it doesn't do a ram check or anything

unplug everything but the power supply and mobo. boot it. if you hear the good beeps, then turn off and add 1 component, RAM, reboot, if all goes well, add video. keep going til the comp wont boot. There is your problem.
