Windows wont shut down??

I ahve Win95/B or os/2 when i try to shut down it just goes to the screen where it says please wait for windows to shut down.It just sits there and goes no farther. Getting tired of having to reboot and scandisc,any ides??

do you have a cable modem??
sometimes the connection will refuse to be killed and windows does not do anything as a result

Try turning off your APM (Power Management) settings in BIOS, and/or User Defined and set Control Panel/Power Management/System Standby to 'Never'. See if that helps...
