Im sure that its ok to mix the two but I have 128mb pc100 now and want to get another stick so I figured i'd get pc133 cause its better, I have an asus P2b MB and was wondering if I would benefit from putting the pc133 in a certain slot over another since i'm running my p3 450@504, or will it make a difference? I might even bump the bus up to 133 after and see what happens. I have a asus p2b, p3 450@504,128mbpc100,G400 dual head, asus 50x, sb live, mitsumi cdr,ibm 10 gig,win 98 ect... and 5 case fans including a fan on my video card. What do you think? Thanks for any help on this.
Sounds like a cool little system - some punn intended http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif -
I'd put the largest single stick or RAM into the first slot in the hopes that, most of the time, you wouldn't leave that slot and have to access an additional slot.
NT, however, will use it all all of the time as it needs it regardless of what you put first.

Kookstick,
I have a P2B-DS please e-mail me with the 133 bus jumper settings. My manual only has bus settings up to 112MHz.
Thanks,
Banti

Banti- I emailed it to you.I got the pc133 and stuck it in the first slot like Axel said and it works great, have yet to O/C more tha 112 bus but does this mean I can reduce my swap file size from 200/200 to maybe 100/100? What do you think would be good. Thanks again. Guess after doing a little research I was going in the wrong direction with the swap thing I changed it to 256 and it seems ok.

If you decide on the PC133 RAM put it in your Dimm 0 (1st) Slot followed by your current RAM.

I have ASUS P3B-F and mix of RAM 66 and 100 MHz it works fine with FSB running on 100MHz. Tried 103Mhz but Windows didn't start. . It depends on a RAM brand stay with good and relable one.
