I just purchased a Tyan tsunami board with 100mhz board slot 1, and a Intel 500 FCPGA pentium III (370 pin) cpu, and a Iwill Slocket II, and a Viper II 32mb Video Card, and a Maxtor 20 Gig 7200rpm IDE HD, and Kingston Valuram pci 100/64mb (X2) .
I through it all together and started the machine up. When the bios registers the CPU, it then proceeds to Check NVRAM_ and just sits there no beeps, nothing. This is the first time it was booted up with new memory, does it take for ever to check the memory?
Please help I am in a quandry?

Have you tried taking the memory back out and re-seating it?..I have noticed on other threads that sometimes it takes a little force (not enuff to break the mobo mind you) to seat them in depending on the mobo and the memory slots...also it might be that you got a bad stick of ram too (lets hope not) but try to exhaust other possiblities if you can...hope that helps...

Yah I tried removing both Pci 100 /64 and install both seperatly to see perhaps if one alone was faulty to no avail. Perhaps the memory is bad, but both were brand new and ESD was not a factor (wore a wrist band). I was wondering if anyone has heard of this happening? If so what other possibilities for fixing? Is anyone familiar with the Iwill Slocket II? If so could this slocket be incompatible with the mobo?
