I had a voodoo rush, then a vodoo2, then a g400, and now the elazoX Geforce card. My bios and agp165 drivers are all up to date for my mobo. What happens is.....whenever a 3d game launches, it restarts the computer. It does this for the driver that came with the CD, the latest driver from Elsa, and the latest reference driver. The second to last driver from elsa, however, lets me play the game for like a minute, then it locks, and it happens with all the games, d3d, opengl, that is, quake2, quake3, unreal tournament, urban chaos, homeworld, ....help, Im about to cry, and I've never cried before.

In you bios setup, see if you have this following options:

Cpu read + cache write combine

Disable it. Some steppings of the k6-2 does not perform correctly with nVidia based cards with this option enabled. Good Luck!

I already diableded that option. I disabled shadow mem also. I think I'm gonna have to return it, I can't seem to figure out what exactly is the problem, maybe it just plain out don't work with my mobo chipset.

I got Urban Chaos to work with 32 meg aperture size. Game isn't all that fast though, compared to my g400. But all my openGL games, and some D3d still dont work. Quake2 or 3 will load, and if I don't play and just let the character sit there, it seems ok, but as soon as I move around, anywhere from a few seconds to a minute later it freezes. If feels like I'm getting close sometimes....mobo test progs and directx and agp tests say everythings fine.
Ugh.
