Hey guys,

I have a 320Gb Seagate IDE External HD (USB)
Well, when I try to access certain folders in that hard drive I get a windows explorer problem

I can access the folder from my laptop fine, but when I try to access it using my desktop I get that stupid windows explorer popup

any ideas on how I can fix this?

I'm running WinXP pro

thanks

What does the popup Say....Do a screen shot if it is to fast to read.

Connect the drive to the desktop and do a complete virus scan. I suggest using a different program than you are using now. Every major AV maker offers free trials that are fully functional. I suggest BitDefender.

found the root of my problems

it was the mpeg2dmx.ax file located in my system32 folder
I don't know why it was causing problems...
anyways, I replaced it with the same file that I found on the net!

thanks for your help guys
