I got to go to the emergency room last night.
Was opening a can of cat food. The can is one of those self opening type where you pull up the tab and then pull the lid off. The lid got stuck halfway so I gave it a good tug. Darn razor sharp edge gashed the heck out of my thumb on the hand that was holding the can.
It was one of those gashes that doesn't start bleeding till you move....Course I have the cat hovering around my feet waiting to get feed and I had to move sometime...
Luckily, I was in and out of the emergency room in under five minutes. They nurse said it could use about 10 stiches but that they would hurt more then the cut. I was more concerned about tetanus....Luckily again the tetanus shot I got a few years back is good for ten years.
Will save that story for another day. It involved going fishing, having a few cold ones and slipping while climbing over a barbed wire fence that I shouldn't have been climbing over anyway :x
