Hi there guys!!

Well i just have right now a HP Pavilion a535w from a client and the hdd is dead, it's an ATA100 80GB drive, the mobo does not have any sata ports on the mobo so i need to get another ATA 100/133 ide hdd so here's the question, how do i know what's the biggest hdd the BIOS can handle? I've browsed every corner of hp page for this model, i've read the faqs, etc., but i still can't find the answer.

Should i call HP? or there's any less time-consuming tip you can give me?

Thanks.

Any IDE drive will work in that PC. I would do with something in the 300GB size range to get the best bang for the buck.

PCs stopped having a drive limit several years ago.

Hi!! So iguess the only thing that would stop me from getting a bigger HDD is the current Service pack installed. Anyway i will install SP2.

Thanks for the quick reply Sterling :t
