I've noticed ppl saying that it is hard on AGP, H.D's, sound cards, etc...

I've been running my Celery 366 at 83 FSB for almost 3 months now with out a problem at all. What's you input on this?

Just curious is all.

When you run an odd FSB like you are, you run all the other components out of spec too. Some items don't want to run at a different speed so they may either lock up the system or fail altogether.

So instead of getting a 10 year lifespan out of your computer, you might only get a five year lifespan. I'm sure that hurts you terribly http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I'm a tightwad and I still rarely keep a computer more than three years, very rarely.

Hi NavyDood,
As long as your PCI bus it set somewhere near 33MHz (via FSB x PCI multiplier) you shouldn't be putting any extra stress on your HDD etc. The AGP shouldn't be any problem either as long as you have the AGP multiplier set to 2/3.
Just goes to show ya how hardy those Cellerys can be, here's to many more years of o/c'n
Best of luck and Happy Holidays,
