Hey there,

I'm having a little problem with my motherboard> When the OS (like Windows) reboots the computer, or I reboot it manually the keyboard doesn't work after the reboot, sometimes the mobo starts beeping and I have to disconnect and connect it again so it can work. Any ideas on whay might cause this? I'm using a Daewoo PII motherboard.

Also, what the heck does SPD means in DRAM? I have to remove a dimm since the bios complained it had no spd

More info on the KB please. Is the keyboard PS2, AT, or USB?? Or maybe wireless? Any wierd flashing lights (any of the lock LEDs)? The noise from the MOBO is it one of the error codes or the sound of an overflowing type cache?

If it is the the type cache, one of the sensors under your keys maybe malfunctioning (try another KB)

The SPD is a small EPROM that contains info on your DIMM (Speed, size and other good stuff) If I remember correctly, the SPD chip is how the MOBO verifies that your MEM is upto the PCXXX speed (XXX being 100 or 133).

Hope this helps...
Banti
