Annoyances on web pages

I keep finding more and more sites having these annoying things that make it where certain words on the page when your mouse crosses over them pop up a bubble that has an advertisement in it like content link and intelink and stuff...any hints on how to rid of these pests? I use firefox.

...free sites have to pay the bills somehow. Be thankful Sysopt's are on the right column and bottom of these boards...

Your using firefox, get the adblock extension, works great at blocking those annoyances.
