Windows Mediaplayer Rating Tag not recognized on another computer using same player

Hello,

I have rated my mp3's using WMP 10. I know MS uses it's own tag, that makes it incompatible with most other software.

I've shared my music across a network, and to my suprise WMP on another computer doesn't recognize the ratings. Both versions of WMP are 10.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a fix, other than using another player?

After some research I found the answer, so let me share this with you. Apparently, you need to check the box that says "Maintain my star
ratings as global ratings in the media files" on both systems. Once I checked it on my second system, it started 'importing' these settings.
