Zippy is here - Pounce !

1- Zippy HP2-6460P power supply. (These don't hang around long!) This one had a wonderful childhood in an air-filtered and power-conditioned server room with a loving tech staff to cater to its every need - neat as a pin inside and out! Conservatively rated at 460 Watts continuous with 32 Amps on the +12 rail. It's not a current design with more than half its output on the +12 rail, but it does have a strong enough +12 rail to handle most systems. Plus it's a single-rail PSU so you can really use ALL the available 12V power, unlike many split-rail units. Active PFC (power factor correction) and auto-ranging AC voltage compensation from 100-240VAC. That last makes a PSU relatively immune to AC line-side glitches short of a bad brown-out or complete dropout.
. It has the standard EATX 24-pin connector (aka EPS12V) (a 24 to 20-pin adapter is available if needed) and the 2x4 +12V connector for dualie mobos as well as the P4-12V for single CPU mobos. There are 8 drive connectors, one being the floppy size. The wires are all plenty long for server cases and other large or strangely arranged cases like the original Stacker - see the Connector Diagram link below. And all the wires except for the floppy and a few sensor wires are 18 gauge. Here is a Pic (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g24/zepper0/hp2-6460p.jpg) in original trim.

This heavy duty, server-grade, nickel-plated beauty came with the standard fan (full speed 24/7) so it is quite noisy - fine for a server room, but I doubt it would be tolerable in a home setting or a quiet office for very long.

. The gray around the opening is paint to protect the raw edges after cutting - this time I'll be using a nibbling tool instead of a Dremel, so the cuts will be neater - much less paint.

And here's a link to the MadShrimps Review (http://www.madshrimps.be/gotoartik.php?articID=281).

. It can be yours for $55. + $8.50 priority shipping + insurance (optional, see General Terms). I'll toss in a nice power cord (if needed) and a set of mounting screws and washers (It's heavy at 5lb.-4oz. net - don't want to warp your case metal... ;) ).
. I can modify this PSU for more quietude if you want. Suggested mods: Cut out the restrictive grille seen in the pics, replace the fan with a Vantec ThermoFlo TF8025 which has integrated temp control, protect the fan with a wire finger guard, and isolate it with a Vantec silicone gasket. This fan also has a speed sensor lead so you can monitor it if you want. I'll throw in a fan extension in case you need it to monitor the fan. Mods will add $10. to the price (the parts alone are a $12.00 value). The wire finger guard will protrude from the PSU's case a bit, so you will need good clearance around the fan area in your case's PSU cutout. Or you can easily remove the fingerguard if you encounter a clearance problem. Let me know if you want this optional mod package.
