PC Lockup

Continued from an earler post on 12/13 The soga go`s on Doing better Now the computer
locks up when i min. a window. Did all the thing`s form other post. Any help?????

Since I take it that it runs fine when the windows are left maxed and only locks up when you minimize a window I will start by suggesting that you double check you vid card settings and drivers for updates as when you minimize a window there is a lot of redrawing that the vid card has to do.

and if it still locks up. I think you should fresh install windows, just be sure to have all your drivers, OK.

Thank you for your reply. I will try getting
a new video card it seems to be my video card all along. It may not be compatable with the new mother board But worked on the old.

for the settings

Just in case someone has any info. my video card is a porlink CL-GD54M30 and another number is MVGA-CLM30P

I personally after reviewing the stats (thanks susan http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ) on that Vidcard I would HIGHLY suggest that you spend 25-35 dollars on a new vidcard (at the prices I mentioned you can get a 8meg PCI or AGP vid card!)
