Old laptop, no user manual how to?

I have been given a 486 lap top with two small hard drives, the hard drives are removable one has win. 95 the other has no operating sys. that I can see. Must each interrchangable hard drive have the operating system on it? Thanks for any response. Dont.

What brand laptop is it. You may find a manual online. I had to find a maiual recently for a laptop. As far as interchangeable drives If you only have 1 drive in the system at a time it needs the operating sustem. Good luck
