I am having trouble w/ windows.........well that's kinda stupid i don't know 1 person that doesn't but out of nowhere an oe error will pop up and i end up getting errors til i'm forced to restart. i even get them when the computer is idling or when it's booting.....its a random thing. but as long as i use it it seems to be ok for a while......might this have something to do w/ my computer misteriously restarting when i connect to the internet.....i'm thinking it could be a conflict but i can't find it........HELP ME.

well hello there....
if you could, post the exact error that you get as well as any other specifics that you can include like type of computer, what version of windows, exactly when the error message comes up. this might help in pinpointing what is causing the problem. also, how long is the system on before the problem arises. from what i've heard so far, it would appear to possibly be a problem with your APM enabled on the motherboard.

Windows problems? That's unnecessary repetition. Like saying "short midgets", or "cool ice".
Honestly, there is NO way anyone can really give you a definite answer as to what your problem is. But, the first thing that comes to my mind with those type of random, out-of-the-blue errors, is maybe a faulty power supply. Or insufficient power supply. Do you have alot of "stuff" in your system?

Exaclty what are the errors that ocurr? Are they always the same errors or only a single pop up one? Maybe it can be fixed, but write your computer specs and the error or more noticable errors.
If they are all different and at random... maybe a virus is around so try an antivirus. Or a common windows file (like comctl, msvcrt, etc.) is corrupted and need to be replaced. So try using the System File Checker (for win98)... it is located on "START" "Programs" "Accessories" "System Tools" and then choose "System Information"... then on the menu that reads "Tools" click on it and then choose the "System File Checker".
