I want to install W98 on top of W95 (I know, I know!)but I have the full version and it says it will not upgrade with this version of W98. Is there anyway around this? I remember there was something you could do with W95 to change it from an upgrade to a full install.

The upgrade is actually the full Windows. In Win95 just start from dos and run setup.exe or install.exe, one of those is the right one http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
And it will begin to install windows... for Win98 don't know if it works the same way, but try it anyway.
Of course this I done it on a clean HD without anything on it.

Win98 over Win95 a very good idea. Out of our 20 PC's we have installed on ~ 5 with outstanding results (ie speed increase, improved memory allocation/management) A few simple steps to remember:
1) In DOS rename win.com to win2.com. (in C:\Windows).
2) Fully exit Windows95, into DOS. Run Setup off Win98 disk. (hint: If CD driver will not function outside of Windows, you will have to find ~ 650 MB of empty space on C:\ to locate Win98 then install off C:\)
3) When installing, choose Install: Other then name C:\Windows as directory. (Important step. You will need to write over old OS.)
Other than that you will be in excellent shape and enjoying the above mentioned benefits of '98.
