MY OS is XP SP2

My taskbar does not show what application is running. I have to press ALT TAB to display the current application running on the system.

Could someone help where to setup to show application running on TaskBar same as normal?

Otherwise, I have to reformat my computer and install all over again.

What bugs me here is WHY this has happened. I would suspect a virus. Use this:

http://www.kaspersky.com/trials

Normally, I would ask if you have rebooted yet. I'm assuming that you have. Mini-crashes will often hide the icons. Rebooting restores them.
