Hi, I have recently a Epson 750 USB printer. I loaded it up and it prints, but each time I boot up my computer and try to print I get an error telling me it's having trouble printing to the port. So I have to delete my printer and turn off my printer then reinstall it and turn it back on. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I don't want to have to keep doing this each time I want to print.

Tell us more about your system - what mobo and what OS are you running?

Off the cuff - I'd say you might need an updated USB port driver. Might go so far as needing a new BIOS file for the mobo BIOS.

Have you surfed the Epson site to check their tech support files for this issue? - They might already have a fix for it.

My system specs are:

Asus P3B-F Mobo running on Win98. Where do I get new USB port drivers?

That would have to come from ASUS - have you checked their site as yet? - While you are there, you might also check to see if they have a BIOS upgrade for that board as well. I haven't set up USB as all of my OS's are win95 which doesn't really support USB. I think I remember reading somewhere on this board that USB has to be configured in the BIOS, but I could be wrong. The ASUS tech files should get you pointed in the right direction.

Hey thanks! I find it odd that my USB scanner works fine. It might just be the printer.

so - when you hand me a stick of dynamite, are you going to mention the lit fuse? - just kidding -

Any more details??

As the scanner is working, might actually be the printer driver itself.

Who made the scanner?

Have you unplugged the scanner and tried just the printer by itself?
