F.E.A.R. Error with Kernal32.dll

when i try to launch fear, i get a error with the kernal32.dll file. What can i do to fix this?

Maybe the game got corrupted.. It can happen... If your like me.. I figure one can spend forever finding out why or where this happened..

I would just re-install the game That usually ALWAYS fixes anything wrong most often.

For sake of saved games... you might want to move the folder somewhere else and then do the reinstall if that works for ya.. lol

Seems alot of people are haveing this problem and for the same reason because of Kaspersky from what I have seen and heard.
There are two was to make this work
1- remove kaspersky completely.
OR
2- remove Security Update for Windows XP (KB917422).

A bit more diging round I found that Virtual CD and Alcohol 120 causes something like that.

First: unninstall the game

Second: unninstall Kaspersky

Third: Reboot and re-installed the GAME

Fourth: FEAR should be working now

Fifth: Re-installed Kaspersky and it "should work"
