I used an ISP named surfree.com for 6 mo. got fed up with the slow/no response time and decided to go with a DSL connection. After having my phone line checked to see if I could use the Hi speed connection, I was told to install aNIC Ethernet card. I purchased a D-Link 10/100Mbps PCI Adapter card and installed it. Since that time I have not been able to connect to my service direct. I get only a message "Dial up network error, access denied because user name and/or password is invalid on the domain. This after I proceed to the "verifing user name and password" status. As result I have had to9 go to Compserve as an ISP, which works. Can someone please help? I have a HP 200mmx with 128 megram. external Zoom 56K V90/34 compadable modem that woks well. Thanks for any help. my new email is since the ISP change is xflightx@cs.com Thanks again for any assistance. Cliff

Its possible that you couldn't connect to service direct because they don't support DSL connections. Not all ISP's do support DSL.

Thanks Target for the reply. I understand what you are saying, however I have not even set up anything but the NIC card and that is not yet working because I will not have the splitter or hub installed until the 22 nd. of Dec. all of my current set up configs, reflect the dial up mode via my modem not a network. Thanks Cliff
