The setup :

I have an ATI 9800XT on an AGP slot.
I dont want to change my motherboard.
I also have a Samsung 213T(21 inch) monitor.

What am I trying to do:

I want to be able to setup another Samsung 21 inch monitor so that I can play games on 1 monitor(using the native 1600X1200 resolution) and then use the 2nd monitor to support extended display(preferably using another DVI input instead of VGA)--not at the same time.

My card has 1 DVI and 1 VGA.
What can I get that would have dual DVI, and let me keep the 1600x1200 resolution on both monitors?
OR
even have the card output 1600X1200 from its DVI and VGA connector?

There are many cards with dual DVI's---but I dont know whether they output 1600x1200(minimum) when connected to a dual display.

The card can do twin 1600x1200 no problem.

If you're considering new cards, then you may safely assume they're implementing the DVI standard correctly, for up to 1920x1200 with single-link DVI connections, or even higher if dual-link connections are being used. (Note that single- or dual-link is a property of EACH of the DVI connectors, nothing to do with whether the card has one or two such connectors.)
