So I've got my Hauppage 250 hooked up to my DirectTV box and I wanted to record and then burn to DVD some of the shows I've saved on my DVR, however anytime I select "record" on the WINTV application it fails and shutsdown.
With that being said I'm on the lookout for a decent PVR that I can use to record, I've tried a couple that worked just fine but didn't have the "one touch" record sort of thing. You actually have to schedual a channel to record and that tends to complicate things.
I've tried GBPVR it worked great but like I said how you record didn't really fit what I'm trying to accomplish.
I've also tried SageTV which had pretty much the same problems plus the fact it isn't free.
Anyone else use anything out there that might fit what I'm looking for or know of a fix for the WinTV?
