Whenever I do a search or edit a thread, my browser is not automaticly fowarding me as it used to.
I recently updated to IE 5.5 and I think there is a connection between the update and this problem.
It this just a matter of an Explorer setting or is there a problem with IE 5.5's compatability with Bulletin Board (Ultimate BB)
Any/all help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
........CHNsaw

Chainsaw,
You need to adjust the JAVA and script security settings a bit lower (default is HIGH) THis is a known problem with IE5.5 (redirects not working)

Mntsnow,
I tried going to Internet Options/Security and picking the Custom level button.
There I found Java Permissions and changed that from High to Med. (hopefully I'm on the right track)
I'm a bit lost when it comes to script, because there are a number of listings with script there and they all have Disable/Enable/Prompt. Not sure what to set.
I rebooted and came back in to IE 5.5 and it appears to act the same as before.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chainsaw

I have IE5.5 on my machine here at work and after playing with the setting (all the way down to low http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif) I am getting forwarded about 80% of the time http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
I just got back from filling out a "bug" report over at microsoft....hopefully they will respond shortly (did the bug report under my OEM # so hopefully that will help!)

ps. BBA over at HOST also has said you have to play with the security settings to get it to work (he says he doesnt have any problems)

I set the Java Permissions for "low" and I am able to pick the foward link and at least get the edit to show up. Before I would pick the link and then I would have to leave the post and come back to get the refresh.
Thanks for putting in the bug report, hopefully MS will respond with a fix soon. I guess we have to expect a bug or two using a beta, after all, that's what it's all about.
Keep us posted if you know of any fixes or work arounds.
Thanks,
