Hmmm, can you shotgun with one phone line? Does anyone know of a site that has good information on shotgunning? I can't find anything worth a nickle.

Nope http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif You have to have 2 phone lines and a ISP that allows 2 concurrent connections (usually charges full price for 2nd connection also http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif )

Nope. You have to have two phone lines. Also, as far as I'm aware you have to be running Windows '95. I know this because I have a Suprasonic II modem(s) and just upgraded to Windows '98. Guess what? I lost my shotgun capability. This problem may be worked out in the future (I'm hoping).

I have to say that shotgunning is awesome. My ISP does not charge me extra at all for having the second modem connect on the same account. Most do, or simply don't support shotgun. However, even if the shotgun feature doesn't work (i.e. combining the stream), it is still neat to have two modems online at the same time. One modem can be used to peruse the web, while the other is free to upload or download.

Apparently you can do it in Win 98.
