I can ftp to a local ftp server on my network just fine using IE6 and ftp://192.168.0.1
I can ftp to the ftp server using the command line ftp program and the internet address of the box xx.xx.xx.xx just fine.

The ftp from ie6 to xx.xx.xx.xx was working fine a while ago and I gave permissions to a couple users to upload files to the server and things have been ok

Now all of a sudden they cannot see the server and get the error message

"
an error occured opening that folder on the ftp server. Make sure you have permission to access that folder.

Details
the operation timed out
"

Since I am on the subnet of the ftp server I always use local. when I check I cannot access the ftp via the web xx.xx.xx.xx

I've played with the use pasv ftp and , ftp folders options without success

I think the user rights are intact because I can log in locally just fine. and with the command line version of ftp.

Help
