I have looked extensively at Brderbubd website to determine a solution but no no avail. Print Shop 11 did not install correctly in WXP Home SP1 but shows up in Control Panel/Add-remove programs. When I try to uninstall, I get the message "File DeIsL1.isu is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstallation will not continue".
I try to reinstall Print Shop 11 but it finds the previous copy and says it must be removed. Can't remove because of above.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove without reloading the PC?

Printshop 11 is pretty old. Its already @ Printshop 22.
Have you tried compatibility mode?

Actually, the computer owner is willing to buy the lastest Print Shop. The problem lies in uninstalling the old.

This may do it (but be very careful with it)
There is a download from Microsoft that is described as a Win32
Cabinet Self-Extractor, file version 4.71.1015.0. It downloads as
msicuu.exe. I have used this program to remove unwanted programs
that fail to uninstall.
You can get it here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;290301
That's the MSI Clean-Up Utility. It doesn't actually remove a program
at all, it only removes the information about the program from the MSI
database, at which point you will need to try to re-install the
program and then remove it if you really want it gone. You only want
to use it as a VERY LAST resort because it can cause lots of problems.

Found this through google.
Uninstall Headaches
Mystery: You try to uninstall a program with Windows' Add/Remove Programs, and get this error message: "The log file DEISL1.ISU is not valid or the data has been corrupted." Or the Add/Remove applet lists programs no longer on your PC. Maybe your HAL 9000 just doesn't want you uninstalling anything.
Solved: >>TIP Find the program's folder (it should be nested in the Program Files folder), and delete the DEISL1.ISU (or UNINST.ISU) file (it may be in a subfolder). Reinstall and then uninstall the program using Add/Remove Programs. If that doesn't work, use brute force: Delete the program's folder, click Start, Run, type RegEdit, select File, Export to save a copy, and then delete the program's keys in both HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

I looked but could not find in Google. Hats off to you. Thanks much and I will give it a try.

Sounds like a piece of the software left someplace in the registry. If (and that's a big if) your are comfortable editing the registry, make a back up then look for entrys from broderbund and print shop. Remove them and try installing a newer version of it. Should work if you get the old entries out.
