Asus P5A Rev. 1.06
I get no sound from the on-board audio (ESS Solo) or system speaker with on-board audio disabled. I want to remove all the drivers completely and reinstall using the drivers from Asus' website (not sure this will work either).

How can I be sure I've deleted everything?? Do I have to boot in safe mode before deleting?? Any help appreciated.

Yes, it is better ro boot on Safe Mode and remove the card from the Device Manager List. Then go to \windows\inf folder (i think is hidden) and inside the are other folders in which there could be .inf files of your card. Look for them and delete them and that way windows will not auto-configure the card and ask you for the drivers disk... this is just in case it doesn't. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
