If 2000 is meeting your current computing needs, then no, there isn't really much reason to upgrade. XP has better gaming and wireless support, but if that's not bothering you now, you can probably save your money.

IMO xp is more stable then 2000. On the other hand if you are having no troubles with 2000 then I don't see much need to upgrade... :t

It's really no more stable than 2000. For most n00bs, XP is better because it has System Restore.
