OK, listen to this.
I took a computer apart to add a new motherboard. I put it in, and it worked. Perfect. Now, I take it out to replace the chip (150 to 200). It boots, harddrive spins, 2 cdroms warm up, power led in floppy lights up, fan spins. No video. I switched video cards, no effect. I got a beep code of rapid beeps, (RAM problem?) I replaced the ram with new strips from other comp. It didn't work. Reset motherboard, right now I'm clearing the CMOS, but does anyone have any suggestions if this doesn't work?
Thank you

So the problem began when you changed the CPU from 150 to one of 200MHz?

If it was due to that make sure the voltajes, multipliers and bus speeds are correct.

Ha! Almost forgot about that. Do you know a good site for voltages on chips?

Some or I think most CPUs have the voltaje they need printed on the chip itself check it out and if you can't find it I have an oldie manual that shows how to determine the voltaje on certain CPUs...

So please check it out first by yourself since I got a total mess on my house and it could take quite some time http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

But if you can't find it well... gonna make the small sacrifice http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Yep, I found it, both chips too. Thanks!
