So I learned about how to partition my hard drive yesterday. Now I have put the system pagefile to it's own partition but I'll like to keep that partition hidden.

How can this be done?

I don't think you can do that since you would need to see the drive letter for the pagefile.

there are ways to make hidden partitions, but I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

There is no real good reason to hide the page file partition. It would create more problems than you can fix.

Well acutally it's not just page file partition I wanted to hide.. But if it's not possible.. then forget I asked.

look at how you set a page file. you have to have a drive letter to set it.

hidden partitions are more for system restores and such. data that is completely unused by the software.

Exactly. If you do not set the partition as active when it is created, then it will not be assigned a drive letter.

You can use TweakUI to hide partitions and in turn volumes. It will still retain its drive letter as it is a volume that remains online.

The Mount Manager device driver will have this letter assign permanently to this hidden volume in the Mount Manager database. Unless the volume were to be offline or deleted when you attach additional volumes i.e., external HDD or optical device, then the drive letter is a “persistent” drive letter.
